“Miller ‘crafts eye-catching, original movement that vaguely suggests everything from ballet to punk alienation, while often engineering startling constructs and sequences all her own.’”

GALLIM Methods is a movement technique training which practices Andrea Miller’s movement philosophy and creative methodology through a guided conversation between the body's network of systems and the imagination. Through a combination of guided improvisation and focused exercises, the class brings nuanced attention to regions of the body, its availability for movement, range, coordination, texture, and creative expression and its experience within space, time, and music.

GALLIM Repertory is known for Miller’s exploration of the essential elements of human behavior and the alchemy of movement, performance, and collaboration. In repertory sessions participants learn award winning repertory and are immersed in an intimate rehearsal environment, receiving coaching from senior GALLIM stagers to hone personal expression, and build dynamic movement range. Repertory class provides students a glimpse into company life and how GALLIM approaches rehearsing and staging repertory works.

BLUSH unravels to the music of Mannyfingers, Andrej Przybytkowski, Chopin, Kap Bambino, Arvo Part, and Wolf Parade. Since its 2009 premiere, BLUSH has toured worldwide to the highest critical acclaim and has received multiple awards.

BLUSH at 92NY

“In this moment that can isolate, disillusion, and harden the heart, BLUSH reminds us the body is a home for healing, connection and transcendence.” — Andrea Miller

Buttenwiser Hall at The Arnold Center | The 92nd Street Y
APRIL 30th @ 7pm
MAY 1st @ 7pm

Andrea Miller, one of today’s most celebrated choreographers, returns to one of her earliest pieces: her acclaimed work BLUSH.

BLUSH takes a single, involuntary gesture — the moment of a blush — and expands it into a flood of physical and emotional transformation. Set in a boxing ring-like arena and driven by a score that moves from Chopin to Arvo Pärt to Kap Bambino, BLUSH is dense with raw energy and intimacy. It is a portrait of human vulnerability in motion — a piece that, over 60 minutes, builds to something almost mythic in scale.

Since its 2009 premiere, BLUSH has thrilled audiences around the world, earning praise for its daring physicality and Miller’s unmistakable choreographic voice. Her dancers, known for their virtuosity and expressive power, embody the extremes of exertion and release — bringing every moment to the surface.

Presented as part of Women Move the World, 92NY’s 2025/26 Harkness Mainstage Series, BLUSH offers an opportunity to experience a signature work by one of the defining artists of her generation.
