#GALLIMasters with Bosmat Nossan
Monday, October 14th, 10am-12pm
Bosmat Nossan is an Israeli independent choreographer performing her work internationally. Artistic director and founder of the Gaga teacher training program, former dancer of the renowned Bat Sheva Dance company and the Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Polak dance company. A staff member of ‘La Collectiz’- a graduate program for contemporary dancers. Awarded with the Israel-America cultural foundation scholarship 2004 & 2006, Remco award for promising artist 2005, danceWEB scholarship 2011.
In this master class Bosmat Nossan will offer a look into the physical research she has been performing around her latest work ‘Soulty’. In 'Soulty' the face becomes a mask, the voice turns into sound and body movements become decorative shapes. The performers disconnect from all features which usually act as mediators of inner feelings. The voice, the face and the shape of movement do not seek authenticity or manifestation of the individual but emerge out of the body as sculptural elements, costumes through which new figures are composed.
