2026 Winter Intensive Testimony

“The week spent with familiar and old faces during the MOTHER Intensive was one of great bliss and learning. I was craving that so deeply, and to be given it in this way, with this community, felt like a prayer answered. The timing feels like a blessing. With so much going on in the world, and family back home living in a heightened state of fear, it felt good to have an escape. Not just a building, but a room full of what I love to do, and with those who share it with the same purpose and love.”

SESSIONS

GALLIM Methods is a movement technique training which practices Andrea Miller’s movement philosophy and creative methodology through a guided conversation between the body's network of systems and the imagination. Through a combination of guided improvisation and focused exercises, the class brings nuanced attention to regions of the body, its availability for movement, range, coordination, texture, and creative expression in relationship to the rest of the body and its experience within space, time, music, and art.

GALLIM Repertory is known for Miller’s exploration of the essential elements of human behavior and the alchemy of movement, performance, and collaboration. In repertory sessions participants learn award winning repertory and are immersed in an intimate rehearsal environment, receiving coaching from senior GALLIM stagers to hone personal expression and build dynamic movement range. Repertory class provides students a glimpse into company life and how GALLIM approaches rehearsing and staging repertory works.

Creative Process led by world renowned choreographers and movement creatives, each creation offers a deep dive into the artists work and how they generate a collaborative and individualistic process.
