Leisa DeCarlo, Programming & Marketing Manager

Leisa DeCarlo is an NY-based dancer and arts administrator with a dual BFA in Dance and BA in Journalism from Ohio State University. Leisa has worked with pillars in the field such as Lorry May, Vera J. Blaine, Noa Zuk, Ohad Fishof, Jacqulyn Buglisi, Bebe Miller, Julia Ehrstrand, Susan Van Pelt Petry, Dave Covey, Susan Hadley, Meghan Durham Wall, Ronald K. Alexander, Ann Sofie Clemmensen, Olivier Tarpaga, and Victoria Shadle, as well as performed the works of Merce Cunningham, Ulysses Dove, Yvonne Rainer, and Terence Greene. As a company artist, Leisa has had the immense opportunity to train and perform with Verb Ballets, Columbus Moving Company, Cleveland Dance Academy, Buglisi Dance Theatre at Lincoln Center, Impact Movement Collective, Kelley Donovan & Dancers, and acclaimed choreographer Zvi Gotheiner as a ZviDance company apprentice. In 2014, Leisa performed in China as a cultural ambassador, where she led movement workshops at Ullens Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, Shanghai University, and Beijing Dance Academy, and conducted international research later exhibited at the Denman Research Forum. Her desire to explore the many facets of the art form have steered her to multigenerational dance company Dances For A Variable Population, an organization that advocates dance as a form of therapy and empowerment through creative movement with a special focus on senior adults, Peridance Capezio Center, where she was instrumental in the Center’s National Association of Schools of Dance self-study, and Dance/NYC, for which she promoted equity and inclusion within the arts through strategic marketing and communication efforts. In addition to serving as the Programming & Marketing Manager for Gallim, Leisa holds the title of Administrative Associate for Amirov Dance Theater and continues as a freelance dance practitioner and company dancer for Impact Movement Collective while pursuing her Pilates certification.


Marisa Santiago, Company Manager

Marisa Santiago brings a decade of experience in arts administration to Gallim Dance.  Santiago spent 6 seasons with Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and later became a freelance arts administrator and events producer.  Through her experiences she has helped to produce works by various choreographers including Alejandro Cerrudo, Robyn Mineko Williams, and Andrea Miller, and has toured nationally and internationally with dance companies like Alonzo King Lines Ballet and Hubbard Street 2.  Santiago has also worked on large scale events for companies including Airbnb and the International Champions Cup.  Santiago is a graduate of Indiana University – Bloomington and currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. 


John Hoobyar, Fiscal Consultant

John Hoobyar has worked as a financial consultant for New York since 2011. He began his finance career at Pentacle, where he managed fiscal sponsorship programming for independent artists. Today, John manages finances for a wide range of arts organizations throughout the city. L
